PHONE COMPUTER PRIVACY
Privacy policy
Last updated October 29, 2026. Phone Computer is a private beta, and this policy is written to match what the service actually does today.
What we collect
- Your mobile number and SMS consent, when you join the waitlist on phonecomputer.ai. We store the number, the consent you gave, and when you gave it.
- Your email address, when you set up your account. It is your sign-in.
- Passkeys, if you add one. We store the public key, never a password.
- Your files, the ones in the folder you choose to sync. File details live in our database; file contents live in private object storage.
- Your texts, the messages you send the service and the replies it sends back, plus task receipts that record what the computer did.
- Operational records: sign-in events, consent history, and delivery status from the carriers.
How we use it
To run the service and nothing else: texting you back, signing you in, syncing your folder, and doing the work you ask for. We do not sell your information, and we do not use your files or messages to train models.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories above exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties.
Who touches it
The service runs on a small set of providers, each under contract: Twilio sends and receives texts, Resend sends sign-in email, Anthropic is the model that reads what you send and works on your files, E2B runs the cloud computer in an isolated runtime, and Railway hosts the application, database, and file storage. That is the whole list.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text to stop messages. Reply START to resume.
- Export everything or delete your account from the web app. Deletion removes your account, files, and messages; we keep only the consent and opt-out records the carriers require us to keep.
- The Mac app sees the one folder you choose. It cannot see the rest of your Mac.
Security
Sign-in is passkeys and single-use email links. Webhooks are signature-checked, file bytes are stored hashed, and old file versions stay recoverable until you delete them. No method is perfect; if something goes wrong we will tell you plainly.
